Divine Love- Blackout Poetry

Blackout poetry is a form of found poetry where the poet takes a text and removes words from it, creating a new text through this act of destruction. It can be done to any text: children’s books, paperbacks, academic papers, tweets, and newspapers are a good starting point.

Hope you like my poem on this style. Please look at the attached pic closely…..

Natural expression of higher self
Burns like fire, purifies like water,
Lighter than air
Divine love.
Self denying yet fulfilling
gives pleasure, bliss.
Is love for love’s sake,
Tender and unalloyed love
Is passionate with a purpose
Of respect, friendship, generosity
Noble instincts, aspirations and ideals.
Violence in the name of love fails,
Prospers through compassion, service and sacrifice
The absolute is an ocean
Everything else are waves
Falling in love is human
Rising in love…. divine
