Bondage-Reverse Poetry

A reverse poem is a poem written in such a way that two opposite meanings can be drawn from the text, depending on whether you read the poem line by line from the top-down, or the bottom-up. For example:

1. “Refugees”, by Brian Bilston https://www.instagram.com/p/CQVXE-7nurq/

Here’s my reverse poem:
I see a wence, the glass mansion holding her tight
Deep red lips let her sussarating breath escape,
A fleeting fie crosses the path of dimming light
She can see, ne’er feel, night’s shimmery cape.
Spring blossoms come knocking for her touch, then fail
Thence she settles for Fall, red woods set her dreams aflame
Whilom, dreams dissolve in mist of morn and memories go stale,
A flustered breeze brushes past, barely uttering her name.
Erelong, loud chants of freedom shatter her locked gloom
Warmth from flecks of gold soothe her capsuled soul
She doth not stop trickling tears that leave a speckled stain
They lead her thither where quashed hopes bloom.
Reverse:
They lead her thither where quashed hopes bloom.
She doth not stop trickling tears that leave a speckled stain
Warmth from flecks of gold soothe her capsuled soul
Erelong, loud chants of freedom shatter her locked gloom
A flustered breeze brushes past, barely uttering her name.
Whilom, dreams dissolve in mist of morn and memories go stale,
Thence she settles for Fall, red woods set her dreams aflame
Spring blossoms come knocking for her touch, then fail
She can see, ne’er feel, night’s shimmery cape.
A fleeting fie crosses the path of dimming light
Deep red lips let her sussarating breath escape,
I see a wence, the glass mansion holding her tight.
