Motherhood, At Last!

My womb welcomes a pristine seed

In sacred space that God decreed

Tiny blessing from heavens freed.

It’s the bloom that braved misty morn

Flowering in a freezing dawn,

Spring serenade in autumn lawn,

I stroke the shell shielding rare bead.

Time tests it with pleasure and pain,

A little heart beats in taut strain,

Upon its kick, my worst fears wane,

I cheer, the bare land is now treed.

In peace, I weave woof into dreams,

Listen to gurgle of near streams,

Watch leaves rustle across moonbeams

A journey to safe shores I plead.
