Hir a Thoddaid

This six-line form is like other Welsh forms in regards to a slight variation in line length and some complexity in the rhyme scheme.
Guidelines:
1— xxxxxxxxa
2— xxxxxxxxa
3— xxxxxxxxa
4— xxxxxxxxa
5— xxxxxxxbxx
6— xxbxxxxxa
  • Same letters mean the syllables rhyme with each other
  • X + the letter specified represents the number of syllables in each line (ex. Line 5 has 10 syllables; the 8th rhymes with the 3rd syllable of line 6)
  • Word to use: dream/dreams
  • Stanza: one

Poem:

They follow me wherever I go
In life’s race, they appear quick or slow
Sometimes, I ignore and go with flow,
But I’ve watered them and seen them grow,
I hope all my dreams get real someday,
I’ll feel success as lights in life glow.
