Treochair

It’s an Irish form that employs an interesting syllable count with rhymes and alliteration.
Guidelines:
  • Treochair employs a lot of alliteration
  • Variable number of tercets (or three-line stanzas)
  • Three syllables in the first line, seven in the second, and seven in the third
  • Rhyme scheme: aba
  • Stanzas: two

Poem:

Lively laugh
Steals sadness of sombre souls
Breaks bricks of boredom in half.

Cute cuddles
Make memorable moments
Happy hours spent in huddles
