Raven- Fox Septet

Fox Septet is a 13-line poem. Here are the rules to craft this poetic form.

  1. 13 line, 1 stanza
  2. The lines must be non-rhyming
  3. First line and the last line have to be identical
  4. Syllable count: 3 5 7 9 7 5 3 5 7 9 7 5.  Here’s my Fox Septet:

Ravens roam

Casting grey shadows
On golden streaks streaming proud
Nature shivers under foxy eyes
Beaks ready to break shy buds
Shrill screams ripping the
Zephyr flows.
Wistful wish pulsates
In the copious black breast
Songbirds croon soft tunes of inclusion
Till dark drowns in choral light
Piercing absurd myths
Ravens roam
Note: This poem is based on race against colorism and for inclusivity using raven as a metaphor.
