A Warrior- Poem without the alphabet ‘e’

Written for the January challenge of  a group- Beyond the Box

Thou soar with an abiding spirit

Surmount many a stumbling block,

Crush those who turn traitors

But caringly cloak your flock.

Booming cannons thou lullaby,

Not just a sad symphony.

Thou march forth with a strong mind,

Hold on to your goals for company.

Mountains of faith you carry with comfort

Trampling agony’s caution to pull you down.

Storms of discord turn to murmurs faint,

Watching thou walk without a frown.

As hours stop crossing paths with you,

And a world stands up to honour a son

Who lay calm amidst shouts of victory

A faithful warrior hardly saw wars won.
