Desires

Based on lines from a Shakespearian Sonnet-

FROM FAIREST CREATURE WE DESIRE INCREASE,

THAT THEREBY BEAUTY ‘S ROSE MIGHT NEVER DIE”

Nature’s myriad hues across boundless skies,

Foster desires that are savoured with pride,

Desires swell with oncoming tides of beauty

Breaking cold walls in men, high and mighty.

Desires could be God’s gift to mankind,

Else beauty they doth not ever find.

The world runs around the epicenter of desires

A feeling billowing, setting men on fire.

A dreamy wish for a fair beauty is contagious

Made and desired by even men unpretentious,

Like rosebuds that blossom with love, care, and light

Cherished desires bring glory, in man never dies.
