Poem

Let’s talk of a boy, Santa Claus,

Though a child, he had many flaws.

He wore his red robe to the town,

They laughed as he looked like a clown.

He took pride in his act and did not see them mock,

His parents didn’t care and never said… let us talk.

Santa Claus tied mares to his sleigh,

Got them white but forgot they neighed.

Coloured marbles he stuffed in socks

And went around at twelve o’clock.

The children played marble games and forgot his flaws,

The townsfolk finally welcomed sweet Santa Claus.

Poet’s Notes:  The above poem is a light verse written to usher in the joyful festival of Christmas.
